2005-09-20 Quebec City, PQ

Ed came out with his Rickenbacker to play "Dead Man" and introduce Sleater-Kinney. Mike McCready joined Sleater-Kinney during their set for a cover of Danzig's "Mother." Early in the main set, Ed attempted some basic French, asking everyone, "C'est Va?" and then hoisting his wine bottle in a toast of "Sante." After "Amerikan in Me," Ed talked about the rainy day in Quebec City, and then jokingly apologized that he and the rest of Pearl Jam stayed up all night hanging out with Bono and U2 trying to solve all of the world's problems. He went on to say that "People are beautiful" but talked about how he's noticed that when there are fewer of them around it can be a good thing, leading into "Elderly Woman...". Jeff has an ultra animated night, with lots of high jumps.
