2006-07-15 San Francisco, CA

Pearl Jam opens their three-night stint in San Francisco with "Of the Girl", played for the first time since the 10/22/03 Benaroya Hall show. Ed greets the crowd before "Given To Fly", "Hello, hello San Francisco! Cheers, cheers... I'm gonna drink to you. It's been a number of years - I think the number is eight or something since we've played San Francisco proper - and you've sold out this venue three times which is more people than you could fit in the old Shoreline, so we're greatly appreciative of that, for your support. And I just thought we'd land the plane quickly so we could say that and now it's time to get it off the ground once again, this song's called 'Given To Fly.'"
